Partners for School Wellness
Little Lake City School District would like to provide information regarding its Wellness Policy and Wellness Advisory Committee. The most updated policy can be found under the Wellness Policy link on the left side of this page, and on the District's website under; Board of Education, Board Policy, BP 5030 . The District's Wellness Advisory Committee is currently led by the Director of Nutrition Services. The committee includes representation by; parents, students, the District nurse, Nutrition Services staff, physical education teachers, board members and school and District administrators. The committee continues to work on strengthening the District's wellness goals to support physical activity, nutrition education, nutrition promotion and encouraging a healthy lifestyle for the District's students and staff.
Communicating the Message
One of our goals is to share the message of nutrition and wellness via our department's website, emphasizing the importance of nutrition AND fitness. Our site provides nutrition and fitness information for teachers, parents and students and includes a variety of learning tools.
