Welcome to PUSD Student Nutrition Services!

The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Food and beverages sold or served at school meet the nutrition recommendations of the U.S. Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

Great News!! We are excited to inform you that Porterville Unified School District will be implementing a new option available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program for the upcoming school year. The new program is called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).

FREE AND REDUCED MEAL APPLICATIONS ARE NOT REQUIRED for the 2020-2021 school year.  However, parents may be required to complete an ALTERNATIVE INCOME FORM to assist with other state funding requirements.

The Community Eligibility Program (CEP) will provide a healthy breakfast and lunch each school day.  NO PAYMENT for any meal, students enrolled in PUSD during the 2019-2020 School Year all eat at no charge. This program does not include second meals and a la carte purchases, but these are available for an additional cost.

Parents please do not prepay for your student's school breakfast and lunch meals.  Parents of High School students may prepay for the purchase of a la carte food items.
