Meal Applications

Continuing this Year!  Franklin Township is offering an Online Application for School Meals. Franklin Township has made it easier for families to apply for free or reduced priced meals. Apply online anytime using an internet-enabled computer. You can submit an application in minutes.  Students will obtain benefits faster, electronic submission ensures that the  completed application reaches the district office quickly; the process is secure and confidential, and this method is preferred due to the timing and accuracy of submissions.  Paper applications will continue to be accepted. 

When using the paper copy meal application on the district website, the information may be entered on the form and then e-mailed to us.

Please e-mail it as a COPY (not link). The link sends a blank application.

Free and Reduced Price Meals are available to all eligible households.  Please complete one application per household. Completed and signed applications may be emailed to [email protected], faxed to 732-873-3983 or dropped off in person or mailed to 2301 Route 27, Bldg. 1, Somerset, NJ 08873. Please call 732-873-2400, Ext. 505 or Ext. 337 for assistance. You will be notified about your child's status. Until notification you must provide your child with a meal or meal money.

Only complete one application per household. The information you provide is used to determine or prove your child's eligibility for free or reduced-priced meals.

Factors considered in the application process are household size and total household income. HOUSEHOLD SIZE is all persons, related or unrelated: including parents, children, grandparents, relatives, friends who live in your household. The TOTAL HOUSEHOLD INCOME is the before tax and deduction income of each household member--this includes wages, social security, pension, unemployment, welfare, child support, alimony, and any other income.
