Welcome to School Nutrition!

"We Think Food Because They Can't Think Without It!"
The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

This year, K12 by Elior is managing our food service program. This Food Service Management Company is dedicated to serving our students not only favorites but to introducing new and exciting dishes thus expanding our student choices for meals.
Please understand menus are subject to change due to the supply chain issues we are experiencing. We are doing the very best we can, working with many unknowns and on a very limited , short term informational basis.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

As we welcome students back to our buildings we will offer a "Grab 'n Go" Breakfast that can be taken to the classroom. Lunch will be served in the  dining room or classrooms following all CDC and KIPP protocols.

There will be NO CHARGE for meals for ALL of our students for the 2021-2022 school year.

KIPP: GCP Although our students are eating at no charge, please fill out a Free/Reduced Application which is used to determine funding for other programs. (If you received a letter stating you do not need to fill out an application please ignore.) You will be entered in a drawing for a 50" Flat Screen TV !!

Visit the Menu page to see the menu for your students school.

Our priority is to keep our students and our staff as safe as we can. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we confront the current environment and have modified meal service.

Sincerely, KIPP: NORTH CAROLINA School Nutrition
