Meal Applications

FOR SY 2021-22

It is the goal of the Chickamauga City School System to meet the needs of all our families and students.  Because of this, we encourage families to fill out a free and reduced meal application each year.  We want to make sure that all families who qualify for free or reduced priced meals receive benefits as quickly in the school year as possible.  This will provide families with the benefits they deserve and avoid any unnecessary meal charges.  Application information is kept confidential and care is taken so that no child is ever identified by their free, reduced or paid status.

Free and Reduced meal applications are sent home with each student on the first day of school.  You only need to fill out one application per family.  Once we receive your application, a benefit determination is made as quickly as possible, your student's meal payment status is updated and a notification letter is sent to your household.   Please be careful to fill out all required areas of the application.  Incomplete applications may delay benefit determination.  Applications may also be filled out on-line at   Your student's benefit status will update immediately upon successful completion of the on-line application and a notification letter will be mailed to your household.

We know circumstances can change, so you may apply for free and reduced meals at anytime during the school year.  Additional applications are always available from the school office, school cafeteria, Central Office or on-line.  The nutrition office is available if you have any questions or need help filling out the application.  We don't want there to be any reason to keep a deserving family from receiving benefits!

Please contact the Nutrition Office at 706-382-3100, ext. 4008 or 4009 or email me at [email protected] with any questions or needs.

Thank you and best wishes for the school year!!
