Meal Applications

Free and Reduced Price Meals are available to qualifying children unable to pay the full price for meals. Eligibility for free and reduced price meals is determined based household income and number of household members (see the Eligibility Guidelines link on the left of this page). The quickest and most error-free process is to complete an online application.

2020-2021 Free and Reduced Meal Price Application Forms can also be obtained and returned (completed) to any school cafeteria, school office or the Food & Nutrition Services office. You will be notified by mail of your student's status. Until notification you must provide your student with meals or money to pay for meals. Any charges made for the purchase of meals will be required to be repaid by the student's parent or guardian.

More information on completing an application can be found on our Free and Reduced Price Meals page.

NOTE: Your child automatically qualifies for free meals (without the need for a meal application) if they qualify through Direct Certification. These include children who are members of a household receiving assistance under food stamps-SNAP, Temporary Assistance for Families in Idaho-TAFI, Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations-FDPIR, or foster programs. This also includes children certified by the proper liaison to be a homeless, migrant or runaway child.

Meals are free (without the need for a meal application) for all children who attend a CEP school (sites listed below). Students attending Grace Jordan Elementary and Horizon Elementary will continue to receive breakfast in the classroom at no cost (Provision 2 breakfast).

Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) sites include Garfield, Hawthorne, Hillcrest, Jefferson, Koelsch, Morley Nelson, Whitney, Whittier, Wm H Taft, Frank Church High School, and the ASCENT Program.

Please contact our office if you or your student qualifies based on one of these categories, but are not currently receiving free meals.
