Free and Reduced Price Meals are available to families qualifying for the National School Lunch Program. If you believe that your family may qualify, please complete the 2020-21 Free and Reduced Meals Family Application – now available online as well as in hard copy form. Applications are good for one school year and must be completed annually. Only complete one application per family.
Olmsted Falls School District families participating in the National School Lunch Program for free and reduced meals are able to apply for the benefit online beginning with the 2020-21 school year. The link to the new online application is available below, along with basic instructions to get you started. A link to the online version of this application will also be available as part of the District’s annual online student information update process. The content of the application remains essentially the same, however parents will now be able to complete and submit their application online.
By completing the National School Lunch Program application process online, parents will receive immediate confirmation of their applications status. This will allow students with approved applications to begin receiving benefits on the first day of school. Parents will no longer need to wait until the first day of school to receive a paper application to get started, and then wait for confirmation of status. The online application will help streamline and expedite the entire process.
For those families without access to a computer and/or the internet, assistance will be available as needed from school building offices and/or the Food Services Department. Traditional hard copy paper applications will continue to be available by downloading the Free & Reduced Price Meals Application from the website, or by picking up a paper copy from any school building office.
Factors considered in the application process are household size and total household income. HOUSEHOLD SIZE is considered ALL persons, related or unrelated (including parents, children, grandparents, other relatives or friends) who live in your home and share living expenses. The TOTAL HOUSEHOLD INCOME is the income each household member received last month before taxes – this includes wages, social security, pension, unemployment, welfare, child support, alimony and any other cash income. Foster children are categorically eligible for free meal benefits. An application is not needed yet there does need to be a documentation of status by a state or local entity familiar with the child’s status. Foster children may be included in the household application as part of the household size.
TO APPLY ONLINE:
YOU WILL NEED your student’s ID number and first / last name as it is listed in the District’s database to register as a new user with the Free & Reduced Meals online application.
If you do not know your student’s ID number, it can be easily located within your PowerSchool Parent Account: Simply login with your username and password. The student ID can be found underneath your student’s name when you first login to PowerSchool.

WHEN YOU ARE READY TO COMPLETE THE 2020-21 FREE & REDUCED MEAL APPLICATION ONLINE, PLEASE CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW TO GET STARTED:
1) VISIT https://olmstedfalls.SDMS2.com
2) Click on “New User Registration”
3) Select “I am a Parent” from the drop-down menu; then click “NEXT”
4) Enter parent first/last name, Student ID # and student first /last name; then click “FINISH” to get started.
5) Continue to follow the prompts to complete the 2020-21 Free & Reduced Meal Application online.

TO APPLY USING TRADITIONAL PAPER APPLICATION
1) Parents/Guardians can obtain a traditional paper copy of the 2020-21 Free & Reduced Price Meals Application by downloading/printing a copy from this website (see “Free and Reduced Meal Application 2020-2021.pdf” link located in the “Meal Applications” box in the top left corner of this page, OR visit any school office to pick up a paper application.
2) Complete and Return application to your child’s school office. You will be notified by mail of your child’s status. Until notification, you must provide your child with lunch or lunch money.
