Pandemic EBT Benefits
DHS has begun distributing pebt benefits. Students who attended a CEP School; CPE, JES, PES, SVE, HMS, or CRA in SY 20/21 were automatically qualified. Students who were qualified for federal free/reduced meals also qualify for pebt benefits. DHS is using student data from fall 2020. We are awaiting instructions on how to update that data to include all students from SY 20/21.
If you receive snap benefits your pebt will be deposited in your account. If not you will receive a card in the mail. Look for a return address from South Dakota.

Summer 2021 Meal Program
Our summer meal program will start Monday, June 21. Meals are available to any child 1 to 18, no pre-registration, paperwork, or verification required. Attend any site during service times and meals will be served to your child. We will continue to serve grab and go student and parents/guardians will be allowed to pick up meals without kids being present.
Summer Grab and Go available Monday - Thursday
Daily grab and go will be available Monday - Thursday at the below listed locations. Locations to include school sites and mobile routes. Breakfast and lunch will be served together. Most sites will provide a long weekend bag that will include 4 breakfast and 4 lunch meals for Thursday - Sunday.

Summer Weekly Meal Pick Up Information and Registration Link
Our weekly meal pick up is designed for families who prefer a once a week pick up of meals and don't utilize our grab and go sites. Any family can participate, you don't need a school age student or D6 registered student to opt into this program, meals are free and available to all kids 1 to 18. Weekly meals provide 7 breakfast and 7 lunches and include fresh produce, dry meal components, frozen meal components and milk distributed by the half or whole gallon.
Distribution will be from Scenic Middle School. If this option fits your need we ask that you register in advance, see registration links below. When picking up pull into the student drop off lane, the first building closest to the football field is where we distribute from. Pull in parallel to the building, please don't park. A staff member will come out to greet you, ask how much kids you are picking up for, and your milk preference.

*USDA has extended all meal waivers through SY 21/22. Meals will continue to be free for all kids 1 to 18 till June 30, 2022. Details coming soon.

Information for when School is in Session:
School District 6 Meal Charging Policy
Our policy follows the regulations of Oregon House Bill 3454. All students who come to one of our serving stations or cafeteria for a meal are served a meal. Per HB 3454 we are not to discuss meal account balances or volunteer any information about your student(s) account with them when they are getting a meal. We will not remind them to bring lunch money while serving them their meal. For our complete policy please click the link below that fits the grade level your student(s) attends.
Our department takes pride in our meal quality. We have bakers working at Crater and Scenic to make all our dinner rolls and pan breads for Hanby and our Elementary Schools. Our bakers also make signature items for their schools. Many of our entree items are scratch made with local ingredients. We also make all of our salad dressings, sauces, and provide a wide variety of fresh vegetables and fruit options daily. Listed below are all of our Oregon business partners:
