Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. All meals, foods and beverages are prepared and served by qualified child nutrition professionals. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.
School Meal Prices
BREAKFAST IS FREE TO ALL STUDENTS!
CISD allows students a courtesy of ONE MEAL charge (up to $2.20) before offering an alternative meal. Students may charge a meal only. Students who do not have funds in their account will be offered the lowest cost reimbursable meal offered to all students each day. Students do have the option to decline the alternative meal. No ala carte or snack purchases will be allowed to be charged.
Parents are responsible for providing students money to pay for their meals. Student accounts will be charged full priced until an approved application is on file. If you have questions about your application or benefits, please call 281-592-8752 x130 or email email@example.com.
Requesting Money from Accounts
Your student's meal account will stay with them for their entire enrollment in Cleveland ISD--from PRK to graduation! Even if your student withdraws from Cleveland ISD, their balance remains in their meal account until the parent/guardian requests a refund or a transfer to another siblings account. Parents/Guardians can even request to donate the remaining balance to help students with negative balances! How can you request a refund, transfer or donation? Only written written requests will be processed and they must be signed by the parent/guardian.
