Five Star Meals

 

 

Parents,

Starting Monday September 14, 2020 breakfast and lunches will be free for children 18 years and younger.  The meals will be free through the end of the 2020-2021 school year, dependent on available funding from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).    Please go to Salk, MIS or Pierce to pick up meals on Mondays and Thursdays from 11 am - 12:30 pm.  Evening meal distribution is available at Salk and Pierce on Mondays and Thursdays from 5 pm - 6 pm.  We sincerely hope this will help families combat the financial challenges during this pandemic.

SPRING BREAK MEAL DISTRIBUTION: MEALS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED ON MONDAY APRIL 5TH AND THURSDAY APRIL 1ST AT IDDINGS, MIS AND PIERCE FROM 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM.  EVENING PICK UP WILL BE AT IDDINGS AND PIERCE FROM 5:00 - 6:00 PM.

Please deposit funds in your child's account if they want to purchase ala carte items.  Only breakfast and lunch is free.  To keep minimal contact, we will be cashless.

The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

A hot breakfast is served daily in all our cafeterias.  Breakfast is FREE to all students who qualify for REDUCED meals as well as students who qualify for FREE meals.  You can view the menu for each school by going to the "Menu" tab.

2020-2021 Meal Prices: Elementary K-6 Breakfast $0.00 Lunch $0.00; Middle School 7-8 Breakfast $0.00 Lunch $0.00; High School 9-12 Breakfast $0.00 Lunch $0.00.

 

If your child owes a negative balance on his or her lunch account, you will receive weekly e-mails or letters sent home about this.  To make sure your are getting this information make sure you are checking your child's school e-mail, junk mail or spam.  Please make payments on line to your students account through your Skyward Family Access.     Unpaid meal account balances of $20.00 or more will be sent to collections.
