Welcome to Child Nutrition! 
 The Kerrville ISD Child Nutrition Department consists of 48 child nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices. The Food and Nutrition Service, under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), administers the National School Lunch and National School Breakfast programs at the federal level. At the state level, these Child Nutrition Programs are administered in public schools by Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA), which operates the program through agreements with school food authorities. Schools participating in the Child Nutrition Programs are required to cooperate with USDA and TDA officials. Our Child Nutrition Department is inspected for compliance regarding sanitation and food safety through the City of Kerrville.
