MEAL CHARGES-ELEMENTARY ONLY
No Charging Allowed at Middle School or High School
Frankfort Schools will allow a maximum equivalent of five (5) meal charges.
We will not allow a student to go hungry.
In the event a student's account balance has not been made current after five (5)charges, a phone call will be made to the parent. Students and parents are encouraged to keep track of account balances. You may access your child's account balance online or by contacting your school Cafe. Your child may ask for their account balance from the cashier at anytime. We will communicate negative balance amounts to you by sending a letter home with your child or via email (if available). All prior charges must be paid in full at the end of the school year or the balance will roll over to the next school year. By law, the Food Service does not have to allow charges of any kind at any level for any type of paid meal, including reduced meals.
Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.
