Menus

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. All meals, foods and beverages are prepared and served by qualified child nutrition professionals. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.  Norwich Public Schools Food Service follows the USDA's "Offer Verus Serve" model in an effort to educate and inform students on developing healthy food habits.  This model enpowers students to make healthy choices and reduces waste.  

We strive to use as much regionally local products as possible.  This is possible working with our produce distributor - FreshPoint, who provides us with regionally local fruits and vegetables whenever possible.  We also have several products that are regionally local such as Sal's Pizza, Tyson Chicken and milk from Wade's Dairy.  

Student Allergies - Norwich Public Schools recognizes that food allergies may be life-threatening. The district encourages parents/guardians of students with food allergies to notify the school nurse of the allergies.  We do have some nutritional information listed within our menus but due to substitutions that are out of our control, the safest way to ensure any allergens/carbohydrate counts are correct, contact your school nurse.
