	Welcome to Okeechobee County School Food Service Welcome Back for School Year 2011-2012!! Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand. Okeechobee County School Food Service Department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and enhancing their ability to learn. Our district core value of "Achieving Excellence" is practiced daily by the Food Service Team. The Food Service Department's Mission is "Serving Excellence - One Meal At A Time." We fully support learning by promoting the development of healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices. Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at All Okeechobee schools meet state and federal requirements which are based upon USDA's Federal Regulations for Child Nutrition Programs and on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that are planned and prepared to meet the health and nutrition needs of students.
