Welcome to the Food Service Department!

Overview

The D.T.S.D. Food Service Department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well-being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices. It is our role to encourage everyone to eat a breakfast and lunch that conforms to the dietary guidelines for healthy Americans while recognizing the individual preferences of each person who participates in our program. Menus are created monthly and reflect the students' tastes by offering the choices most popular to students. All lunches include an assortment of vegetables & fruit. A variety of skim milk and flavored skim milk is offered with each meal.

New Option for E.C.C. students to access their Cafeteria and Library Accounts

DTSD will be offering a new cafeteria and library check-out option for students in the Early Childhood Center.  The finger scanning system - similar to the one you may use to log into your smart phone - is proven, safe technology that has been used by schools for nearly two decades.  With the implementation of full day kindergarten coming this fall, we will be piloting it here to see if we are also able to help our youngest learners get the most of their cafeteria and library time.

Please click here to learn more about this system.
