Welcome to Point Isabel ISD Child Nutrition Program!

Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand.

The Child Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines.

We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

All children in the Point Isabel Independent School District will receive meals at no charge through the academic 2018-2019 school year.

Each student will be offered a free breakfast and lunch.

*Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program*

The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program is a federally assisted program operated by Point Isabel ISD Child Nutrition Services that provides a variety of free fresh fruits and vegetables to students during the school day, outside of breakfast and lunch service.

The goal of the program is to improve children's overall diet and create healthier eating habits to impact their present and future health.
