Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. All meals, foods and beverages are prepared and served by qualified child nutrition professionals. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.
Students in grades from Preschool through 8th grade receive meals free of charge in Trigg County Public Schools. Extra items are not included in the free school meal for your child but can be purchased. USDA and Trigg County Board of Education Policies prohibit the purchase of extra items if your child’s account is overdrawn (negative). If your child’s account is negative, the account must be paid in full before extra items can be purchased.
