	Welcome to School Nutrition Services! Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand. The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices. Richmond City Public Schools, School Nutrition Services department feeds approximately 17,000 students in our school nutrition services program. Our organization is staffed with 300 Food Service Workers, 45 Cafeteria Managers and 9 Clerical and Administrative staff persons. We are an offer vs. serve program. We participate in the USDA Free/Reduced Lunch Programs for all grade levels. Ala Carte choices are offered on the middle and high school level. Lunch menus are available in each school location. Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.
