How we accomplish our goals
Partners for School Wellness
Our District has developed a Wellness Policy that is focused on improving the health of students. The policy was developed by the health and wellness advisory council that includes teachers, parents, administrators, and the district nurse.
Sharing the Message of Wellness
One of our goals is to share the message of nutrition and wellness via our department's Web site that emphasizes the importance of nutrition AND fitness. Our site provides information on the nutrition and fitness for teachers, parents, and students, as well as, a variety of learning tools.
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
Bringing fresh produce and connecting our local farmers to you every Tuesday starting June 11, 2019 from 3:30 p.m. - 6 p.m. in the ECS Parking Lot.
If you have never participated in a CSA, this is a great opportunity to check it out and take advantage of the local access to high quality food.
BECOME A MEMBER
Details on the CSA, varieties offered, and other pick-up locations can be found here. To become a member, simply visit Fisher Hill Farm's Store, click on the share you would like to have for the season and select "Victor Central School" as your pick-up location!
If you ever need to change your pick-up location, just let Phillip & Sandy know and they will be happy to accommodate. Think about splitting shares with family, friends, or neighbors! Being a member of a CSA is a great way to ensure you get your fruits and vegetables in your diet. Additionally, it serves as an opportunity for you to get to try new produce and recipes, and for children to see where foods grow!
Brought to you by a partnership between VCSD Wellness Committee, Fisher Hill Farms and Victor PTSA.
