Welcome to Child Nutrition!

Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand.

Livingston Union School District Nutrition Services provides meal service through the National School Lunch Program and the Child and Adult Care Food Program for preschoolers and elementary students at six school sites. All of our sites are non-pricing, so children are able to eat 3 square meals a day at no charge. Overall we serve over 1,000 breakfasts, 2,300 lunches, and almost 600 after school meals each school day. We also served over 15,000 meals during the summer to children in our community.

The Child Nutrition Department consists of 28 employees, all with multiple years in the food service industry. We work with children to develop their palates, inspire future chefs and ensure that all of our children develop healthy lifestyles that allow them to focus on academic achievement.

Meals, foods and beverages served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.
