USDA regulations prohibit the sale of foods of minimal nutritional value and carbonated beverages during meal times in the cafeteria at all school levels. Therefore, no canned or bottled drinks (except pure water or milk) are allowed in the cafeteria. Students or their parents are not allowed to bring in foods from outside restaurants until after the last lunch period is over. Lunch sent in lunch boxes or plain bags with students in the morning are allowed. All students are encouraged to eat a nutritious meal provided by the school cafeteria and milk is provided to drink with their meals.
Parents may come any time and eat with their child by notifying the school nutrition manager ahead of time to insure enough food will be available.
