Welcome to Child Nutrition Services!

Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand.

The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

Dear Buena Park School District Families,

On April 20th, 2021, the USDA approved the Nationwide Waiver to allow the continuation of serving the Seamless Summer Option through the 2021-2022 School year. What this means is your child will be able to receive Breakfast and Lunch through our school cafeteria with NO COST and NO SIGN-UP required. Please know that last year’s “Drive-Thru” and “Weekend Meals” services are no longer available and that meals are now only accessible to on-campus students at ALL 7 Buena Park SD school sites. If there are any questions or concerns, be sure to contact our Food Services Office! Thank you, Buena Park Child Nutrition Team.

We are pleased to inform you that Buena Park School District

will be implementing a new option available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility Provision for 2021-2022 School Year.

Great news for you and your students! All students attending in person school at Buena Park School District are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to your household each day of the 2021-2022 school year. No further action is required of you. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit an application.

If we can be of any further assistance, please contact us at                                                 [email protected].
