Welcome to Nutrition Services!
Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand.
The Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.
Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.
Dairy foods provide critical nutrients that help improve children’s overall diet quality and health – and play an important role in Child Nutrition programs. National Dairy Council® provides timely, scientifically-sound nutrition information and resources designed to help health care professionals, school nutrition professionals, teachers and parents ensure that children get the recommended three to four servings of dairy foods daily.
Putting student wellness into action calls for two essential components: Kids need to "fuel up" with the nutrient-rich foods they don't get enough of — low-fat and fat-free dairy, fruits, vegetables and whole grains, and "get active and play" for 60 minutes a day. Here are materials designed to help children build healthy lifestyles and provide you with the latest resources on dairy and nutrition.
