Welcome to the Student Nutrition Services!

Good nutrition and learning go hand in hand.

The School District of Fort Atkinson recognizes that students are more successful in school when provided a well-balanced meal. We are committed to providing our customers with quality meals at most affordable prices. Our Mission in the Student Nutrition Department is to “Promote lifelong learning of health and Nutrition through the delivery of quality nutrition services to all our customers.”

We provide breakfast and lunch each day that meet high nutrition standards. Our menus are planned to meet the nutritional needs of all ages, served, and follow the national guidelines to lower total intake of fat, saturated fat, sugar and salt. School lunch provides 1/3 and breakfast provides ¼ of the recommended Dietary Allowances for protein, Vitamins A and C, Iron, Calcium, and calories.

We provide the “Offer vs. Serve” option of the National School Meal Program which requires our school to offer 5 meal components at lunch which are Meat/Meat Alternates, Fruit, Vegetable, Grain/Bread, Milk and 4 components at breakfast which are Meat/Meat Alternates, Fruit Vegetable, Grain/Bread, Milk. Students may choose to select 3 out of 5 components at lunch and 3 out of 4 at breakfast to qualify for state/federal reimbursement.

We are proud of the quality of our meals. Our staff is highly trained and professional. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices. We invite you to come and have breakfast or lunch with us anytime. Just notify the school office so we can plan accordingly. Also, feel free to contact our office from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with any questions or concerns.
