“People who love to eat are always the best people.”
Julia Child

The Student Nutrition Department's job is to provide tasty nutritious foods that meet the requirements of the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act.  All of our items are baked, not fried.  Our breads and grains are all whole grain.  There are many different fruits and vegetables to try every week.  Our products have no trans-fats.  The calories, saturated fats, fats and sodium levels meet the needs of students at every age.  Finding the right entrees that fit this criteria can be a challenge, but we are stepping up to make sure this happens.

Our breakfast program offers fruit, 100% juice, milk, and their favorite cereal or a hot entree each day.  Breakfast at school is very convenient for busy families and we encourage everyone to give it a try.  Students with free or reduced status at lunch will also receive free or reduced status at breakfast.

Bag lunches are offered to elementary students on early release days.  Your child can bring home an enjoyable cold lunch on days when they leave school early.  Be sure to watch for order forms from your elementary school a week or two before the early release.

Free and reduced applications must be submitted every year.  If you have not submitted yours yet, please do so as soon as possible. Remember that free and reduced status is for meals only.  Milk alone must be paid for separately.

Be sure to try our online system -  This system is very user friendly!  Just follow the prompts and you will be able to access your students accounts quickly.  Checking student balances and history is free on the website at any time.  Please note that there is a $2.00 service charge per transaction.  You can send a check or cash to school with your student anytime at no cost.  If you are sending a check in please be sure to write your child's name in the memo section.

If you have any questions, please contact Tom Dembski, Student Nutrition Director, at [email protected] or 920-563-7811 x1161.
