Going Green Menus

Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. All meals, foods and beverages are prepared and served by qualified child nutrition professionals. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

A number of vegetables that are offered on our menu are locally grown and processed in our processing kitchen. When you see items on the menu such as corn on the cob, summer squash, beets, green beans, broccoli and winter squash, they have come from our processing kitchen that holds a Food Manufacturing Licence through the State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection.
