Meal Applications

Dear Parent/Guardian:


Children need healthy meals to learn. LEXINGTON COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT ONE offers healthy meals each school day. Breakfast costs $1.35 for students; lunch costs $2.85 for students. Your children may qualify for free OR reduced price meals. Reduced price meals are $.30 for breakfast and $.40 for lunch.

Free and Reduced Price Meals are available to families who qualify. If your family chooses to apply please complete a "Free and Reduced Meal Price Application Form" for the CURRENT SCHOOL YEAR.

Lexington County School District One provides paper applications for free or reduced price meals at all its schools and at the Office of Food Service and Nutrition, 420 Hendrix Street, Lexington, SC 29072.
Parents/guardians can also access an online application for free or reduced price meals through the district's website to District in no way endorses but will accept applications submitted through this site.

Eligibility for free or reduced status is determined by using guidelines from the federal government. The way you apply (paper or online) will not affect the application process.
Parents/guardians should be aware, however, that by using the online application system, you will share sensitive personal information, such as social security numbers, household income amounts, and home addresses, over the Internet.
While states that it is a secure server, there is an inherent risk involved with sharing sensitive personal information over the Internet.
In addition, under the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act, 42 U.S.C. 1758, parents/guardians have specific confidentiality rights, including the right not to have sensitive personal information shared with third parties without your consent. The district cannot guarantee that will not share your personal information with third parties. Parents/guardians who choose to use the online system may be risking a waiver of that confidentiality right.

You will need your child's student ID Number to complete the online application.  This is NOT your student's Social Security Number.  Please contact the Student Records Operator at your student's location if you do not have your student's ID number.
