The MEAL APP NOW site requires the creation of an account for electronic signature purposes. Depending upon the circumstances of your household, you will need your student's ID or name, and birth date, TANF/SNAP eligibility number and household income. The site is secured with an extended validation secure sockets layer (ssl) certificate and all data is private and used only for the meal application process. You will be notified by mail of your child's status. Until notification you must provide your child with a lunch or lunch money.
Only complete one application per family. The information you give will be used to determine or prove your child's eligibility for free or reduced-priced meals. This information may also be used for other state or federally funded school benefits.
Factors considered in the application process are household size and total household income. HOUSEHOLD SIZE is considered all persons, related or unrelated: Including parents, children, grandparents who live in your home and share living expenses. YOU DO INCLUDE YOUR FOSTER CHILD BUT PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE FOSTER CHILD BOX ON THE APPLICATION. The TOTAL HOUSEHOLD INCOME is the income each household member received last month before taxes - this includes wages, social security, pension, unemployment, welfare, child support, alimony, and any other cash income.
Foster Children - THIS IS THE FIRST YEAR THAT FOSTER CHILDREN ARE ADDED TO THE FAMILIES HOUSHOLD AND COUNTED IN PART ONE AND THREE. HOWEVER; FOSTER CHILDREN ARE AUTOMATICALLY FREE, BUT THE OTHER CHILDREN IN THE HOUSEHOLD MAY BE DENIED, REDUCED OR FREE DEPENDING UPON HOUSEHOLD SIZE AND INCOME.
YOU ARE NOT REQUIRED TO LIST YOUR FULL SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER ON THE APPLICATION. PLEASE ONLY LIST THE LAST FOUR DIGITS OF YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.
