FOOD SAFETY

At Lodi Unified Food Services food safety and sanitation are critical ongoing processes that require strict procedures and training. All Food Service Supervisors, Managers and Cafeteria Assistant II’s are required to possess a current food safety certificate recognized by the California Retail Food Facilities Law established in February, 1999.

The Lodi Unified Food Safety Program was implemented in July 2006. The program follows the USDA guidance which is based on the Process Approach to Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP). All standards in this food safety program are based on recommendations in the 2001 Food Code.
