Community Eligibility Provision
We are pleased to inform you that our schools will be implementing a new provision available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs called the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).
What does this mean for you and your child(ren)?
Pueblo City School District is participating in a Universal Lunch and School Breakfast Program for the 2015-2016 school year. Breakfast and lunch will be available to all students at no charge. All students enrolled in Pueblo City Schools may participate in the breakfast and lunch program at no charge to them.
Studies have shown that children who are not hungry perform better in school. By providing lunch to all children at no charge, we are hoping to create a better learning environment for our students.
The school breakfasts and lunches that we serve follow U.S. Department of Agriculture guidelines for healthy school meals. The School Breakfast and Lunch Programs cannot succeed without your support; please encourage your children to participate in the school meal programs.
Meals will be served to all students at no charge regardless of the eligibility status.
The Family Economic Data Survey form will be used to determine whether the school district is eligible for additional funding on the behalf of the student(s) listed below. By filling out this form, you are helping to ensure that the school district receives additional funding to which it is entitled based on the population of student served by the district.
